Former long time beginner, I have gotten much better since I've been learning more about music theory and harmony. My understanding of the instrument (and music in general) and playing have gotten much better. I want to keep getting better, and to consider myself a serious lead guitarist. I don't have any experience playing in a band, but I learn fast and am anxious to do anything that will make me a better player, and make good music. Influences
Classic rock, blues. My favorite bands when I was younger range from Jethro Tull and Zeppelin, to Steely Dan and Pink Floyd, to Tool and Incubus(first 2 or 3 albums only lol). I really do like all kinds of music. I don't play as much metal as everyone else I grew up with lol. I tend to lean toward more rock, R&B, maybe even funk sort of styles. I always loved the way David Gilmore plays(of course), but I do aspire to have a little more sophistication in my playing and really look forward to being well rounded.
